I just picked up 2 coupon calendars at Walgreens (in Fremont) on clearance for $1 with tons of coupons. A few have expired, but there are still many that go through end of the year. Several are for $1/2 crayola products , which I was able to pick up some clearance crayons for $.50 that made them free. There are also coupons for meade products, hefty baggies and some other items. They are redeemable only at Walgreens, but when back-to-school sales come around this purchase will definitely pay back!
Has anyone else found these on clearance? What a great find!

I was discussing with a friend today, whether or not it’s worthwhile to sit through a 90-minute timeshare presentation in order to take a cheap vacation. What do you think? Have you ever done it? Seems like everyone I talk to is in favor of it! I personally think you have to be in the right positition to accept one of these offers. For example, when we were on vacation a couple weeks ago, we were offered free tickets to several area attractions if we would take a 2 hour tour of a nearby hotel resort. Well, we have a four year old. I don’t know if you know this or not – but they don’t so much appreciate 2 hour tours. 
But I’m thinking, if this was something I could’ve planned for or if we were there just the 2 of us, that would TOTALLY be worth it! We teased that newlyweds are in a much better position to do this (think honeymoon!) because they are still patient with each other and neither one will storm out of the room, exhausted from boredom!

The only “catch” that I can see here is that you agree to sit through a 90-minute timeshare presentation during the trip. Provided you are willing to listen patiently and follow with a firm “No Thank You” – this might be an excellent way to take a frugal vacation to a very nice location.
