Kroger Weekly Ad with Coupon Matchups Week Of 10/14

October 13, 2012 1:41 am · 20 comments

in Kroger Columbus WUC, Weekly Kroger Ad Matchup

My Kroger deals are based on the ad for Ohio (Great Lakes/Columbus Region). The ad week starts on Monday (but check your ad for sale dates). Kroger doubling policies vary from store to store, so the math will reflect up to and including $0.50, and also up to and including $0.99 in { }. If an item is priced 10/$10 (for example), you do not have to purchase 2 items to receive the $1.00 each price unless otherwise noted (like when part of a mega sale). Check your local store for policy. Pricing varies by region, so check your ad for slight discrepancies.

How many buy 5 get 5 can we do in a transaction and will it roll?

2 Lori October 13, 2012 at 6:59 am

That was my same question! Next week is my son’s snack week at preschool … lots of good options on there since I have to buy four days worth of snacks for 16 kids.

3 Laura October 13, 2012 at 8:18 am

I’ve never had a Catalina at kroger that doesn’t roll

4 Laura October 13, 2012 at 8:20 am

Amy: typically you can oy buy 5 per transaction. You can buy more in the same transaction but you will still only get the $5 cat

5 Patty October 13, 2012 at 9:33 am

I seen my add for AR and I don’t see the buy 5 get 5 onyo:( i hope the offer available in my area.

Sorry – I should have discussed this in this post but it was 2 am and I was done. ;)

Typically, Catalinas are LIMIT 1 per transaction, but they DO roll. There were no limits stated in the ad, so we will have to wait to test it out.

I’m sorry, I’m new at this….what do you mean by they will “roll”?

8 Katarina October 13, 2012 at 12:56 pm

PB – Rolling means that you can take a Catalina that I just EARNED and turn around and use it to pay for a duplicate order and still receive another Catalina.

Thanks, I’m going tomorrow to check this out! Lots of good deals!!!

10 hunter October 13, 2012 at 3:16 pm

hey so is there a limit on how many i order like can i order 100 rice o roni and pay 100 but get a 100 back in catlinias

11 Laura October 13, 2012 at 3:50 pm

Hunter: no you have to buy 5 and get back $5 Catalina. And then you check out again. You could check out 20 times if you really want 100 rice I roni.

I know most CATs are limit one, but this sounds more like the QuarterBack promo and says it prints a “store coupon” at chckout. So I’m still hopeful!

Thanks for the great matchups!

just got back from kroger – bought 20 ’5 get 5 back’ items. Nothing printed. Customer service nicely printed out 4 ’5′ dollar cats but they couldn’t say what the problem was. Really too good to be true..just free without any coupons?

Question-My weekly ad from last week says “2 Weeks Sale” so it runs through the end of this week. Now, do I have to check my store to see if this deal is included or is there a new ad somewhere that I don’t know about. Or maybe my ad is different (Dayton, Ohio)? Thank you!

Cathy-The sales around my area normally starts on Monday and ends on Sunday. Do you think maybe that is why it is not printing? Also, did you buy 20 items in one transaction? Just wondering. Thank you!

15 cathy October 14, 2012 at 2:13 pm

Our sale started today and CS thought maybe the limit was one…but none printed out and there was no limit posted. I will go back tomorrow to roll; hopefully they will have it working then.

16 Katarina October 14, 2012 at 2:20 pm

Dung, look at your ad and see if this Buy 5, Save $5 promo is in there. It was on the last page of my ad. You can also view it on Kroger.com. The Cartbuster sale is still going on this week (week 2).

17 Dung October 14, 2012 at 6:08 pm

I see the Cartbuster deals but no mention of GM deal anywhere. I’ll look online and will also check my store for signs. Thank you so much for your help! I really want to do the Totino’s pizza deal.

18 Katarina October 14, 2012 at 6:26 pm

Dung, rumor is it’s rolling AND you can purchase multiples in one transaction. I will be testing it tomorrow.

19 Jessica October 14, 2012 at 9:17 pm

I didn’t think the rice a roni was in the $5 for 5 deal but that it was just in the cart buster deals. Maybe I am looking at my ad wrong or maybe it is regional?

20 Dung October 14, 2012 at 10:26 pm

Okay, I just looked online for the weekly ad in my area in Ohio and I still don’t see the deal for GM. I checked the weekly ad for VA where my sisters live and I see it on their ad, but their ad is one week and not two weeks like mine. Hope I will find signs in my store tomorrow.
