Kroger Weekly Ad with Coupon Matchups Week Of 2/10

February 9, 2013 6:30 am · 14 comments

in Kroger Columbus WUC, Weekly Kroger Ad Matchup

My Kroger deals are based on the ad for Ohio (Great Lakes/Columbus Region). The ad week starts on Monday (but check your ad for sale dates). Kroger doubling policies vary from store to store, so the math will reflect up to and including $0.50, and also up to and including $0.99 in { }. If an item is priced 10/$10 (for example), you do not have to purchase 2 items to receive the $1.00 each price unless otherwise noted (like when part of a mega sale). Check your local store for policy. Pricing varies by region, so check your ad for slight discrepancies.

This is the first week of what is likely to be a 2 week Daytona promo. You do NOT have to purchase any set amount of items. Daytona is just the name of the sale. In fact, I noticed that many of the items included in the ad are listed at their full price still. In lieu of doing a full inclusions list with all of the additional (unadvertised) deals I find, I will most likely just be highlighting individual additional Daytona deals throughout the next 2 weeks, should they pop up.

One MAJOR change that you’ll want to take notice of is the limit on the Daytona Digital coupons. It looks like there will not only be a special page where these can be loaded, but also they are EACH limit 5 per each week of the sale. Meaning, you can buy 5 identical items in the first week of the sale, and the digital coupon(s) that you load will come off up to 5 times!

Honest with you, for the first time I’m so disappointed what Kroger planned to do with their new sales!!! Makes me very concerned if they’ll continue to do this that will not help us save more $$ :( I’m sorry to say this on your website but Meijer will have an awesome deal on Oscar Mayer products that includes Deli Selects, Oscar Mayer HOt dogs, Lunchables, etc starting tmw and I’ll be taking advantage of it since Kroger’s Daytona prices doesn’t impress me at all. The only thing I’ll grab for sure is 2lbs Strawberries which is great price at 2.48!!! Thank you for sharing this deal with us and it’ll help us be aware what Kroger may will do in the future that we need to shop more smarter this time and in the future! :)

This Daytona sale would impress me if Kroger would allow us to use both the digital coupon and the paper coupons.

Thanks for the list Kat. This is a very lackluster sale.

Well I am glad that I am not the only one that is disappointed in this ad. Thanks for giving us a heads up on it tho.

Tammy, not my meijer ad will sell strawberries for 1.50 each in Columbus Ohio area so yours is the best price but not for us :( Right now meijer is selling strawberries for 3/$5. So I’m betting on Kroger’s strawberries price is best deal for us in Columbus :)

I have to agree that this sale would be so much better if they would still allow us to stack the digital Q’s with the regular ones. Hopefully they will have some good digital Q’s for things that I don’t have any manufacturer q’s for this time around. Thanks for all the great info that you post for all of us other KrogerKrazies out here!

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks this ad is garbage. You have to use the digital coupon to bring most of the items down to what the sale prices would normally be.

I have a bad feeling that this digital coupon strategy is another part of Kroger’s war on paper coupons.

“You can use these coupons up to 5 times in a single transaction. You cannot use these coupons in more than one transaction or in different transactions on different days.” So if there are only 3 on the shelf of something, then we’re just out of luck? And these digital coupons are only good through March 2, which changes our sale cycle completely here in the Delta Region… Kroger is starting to make me nervous – we don’t have many options in my town.

Wow, Kroger has neatly found a way to eliminate MFG paper coupons in a single move by neatly making the mega discount a digital coupon. What an anti-counsumer move. Cincinnati journalist John Matarese did a newstory on Cincinnati Kroger’s ‘lower price’ scheme and the end of double coupons… Hopefully some attention will be shed on this new Kroger policy

I’m so glad that I have another grocery store in my city that doubles Q’s up to $1. I’ll be shopping there this week.

venita isn’t it odd/curious? there are 3 krogers in my town and each one has diff coupon policies.
