We all lead busy lives so one thing that I&#8217;ve learned on my weight loss journey is meal planning and organization\u00a0are key elements of being successful and staying on track.\u00a0 I am still working on getting those last pesky few pounds off, but I am thrilled with my progress so far. My weight loss has even been noted by others which is always a great motivator!<\/p>\n<p>What I&#8217;ve been eating for <strong>Breakfast<\/strong> lately&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Breakfast Sandwich<\/strong> &#8211; Obviously there are 100+ variations of a breakfast sandwich so let your imagination run wild but this is what I will sometimes make if\u00a0I&#8217;m not in the mood for a bowl of fruit (0 point+)\u00a0with my morning coffee.<\/p>\n<p>Store Brand or Thomas English Muffin &#8211; 3 points+ (1 muffin)<br \/>\nKraft American Cheese Singles, Reg\u00a0&#8211; 2 points+ (1 slice) or 2% is only 1 point+<br \/>\nCanadian-Stlye Bacon &#8211; 1 point+ (1 slice, 24 g)<br \/>\nEgg &#8211; 2 points+ (1 large)\u00a0or Egg Whites (3)\u00a0&#8211; 1 point+ or Regular Egg Substitute (1\/4 Cup) &#8211; 1 point+<br \/>\nBaby Spinach or Arugula Leaves &#8211; 0 point+<br \/>\nTotal Points &#8211; 6 to 8 points+(depending on my mood for type of eggs!)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cold Cereal<\/strong><br \/>\nHoneynut Cheerios &#8211; 4 points+ (1 cup) or 2 points+ (1\/2 cup)<br \/>\nFat Free Milk &#8211;\u00a02 points+ (1 cup) or 1 point+ (1\/2 cup)<br \/>\nTotal\u00a0Points &#8211; 6\u00a0points+ (1c) or \u00a03 points+ for (1\/2c)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hot Cereal<\/strong><br \/>\nCream of Wheat &#8211; 3 points+ (1 cup)<br \/>\nFat Free Milk &#8211; 1 point+ (1\/2 cup)<br \/>\nWhite or Brown Sugar &#8211; 1 point+ (1 tbsp) (you could use equal or splenda for 0 point+ but I don&#8217;t really like it so I just use regular sugar)<br \/>\nTotal points &#8211; 5 points+<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yogurt<\/strong> &#8211; 2, 3 or 4 points+ depending on the brand<br \/>\nFresh Fruit cup &#8211; 0 point+<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.skinnytaste.com\/2012\/02\/skinny-green-tropical-smoothie.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-69821\" title=\"Skinny-Green-Dairy-Free-Tropical-Smoothie\" src=\"https:\/\/www.krogerkrazy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Skinny-Green-Dairy-Free-Tropical-Smoothie-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><em>(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.skinnytaste.com\/2012\/02\/skinny-green-tropical-smoothie.html\" target=\"_blank\">Photo Credit<\/a>)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Smoothies &#8211; <\/strong>most times my smoothies consist of soon to spoil yogurts and fruit and my secret ingredient,\u00a0flax seed<strong>\u00a0(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.krogerkrazy.com\/2012\/03\/dont-waste-that-fruit-make-smoothies-vlog\/\" target=\"_blank\">see my video here<\/a>) <\/strong>but here a couple of additional ones I like!<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.skinnytaste.com\/2012\/02\/skinny-green-tropical-smoothie.html\" target=\"_blank\">Skinny Green Tropical Smoothie<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; 6 points+ (1-3\/4 cup)<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.skinnytaste.com\/2012\/01\/skinny-green-monster-smoothie.html\" target=\"_blank\">Skinny Green Monster Smoothie<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; 6 points+ (2 cups)<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.weightwatchers.com\/food\/rcp\/RecipePage.aspx?recipeid=296192400\" target=\"_blank\">Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; 6 points+ (1\/2, serves 2) I haven&#8217;t made this one yet but it looks interesting. A couple of readers on Facebook said it was good.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some of the <strong>lunches<\/strong> I&#8217;ve been having depending how big my breakfast was&#8230;. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deli Style Sandwich &#8211; <\/strong>I usually alternate between Turkey and Ham since it&#8217;s the lowest in points and my faves!<br \/>\nWheat Bread\u00a0&#8211;\u00a04 points+\u00a0(2 slices) (2 points+ for 1 slice for open face sandwich)<br \/>\nOscar\u00a0Mayer Selects Applewood Smoked Ham &#8211; 1\u00a0point+\u00a0 (6 slices)<br \/>\nOscar Mayer Smoked Turkey Breast &#8211; 2 points+ (6 slices)<br \/>\nKraft American Cheese Singles &#8211; 2 points+ (1 slice)<br \/>\nDijon Mustard &#8211; 0 point+<br \/>\nHandful of shredded lettuce &#8211; 0 point+<br \/>\nTotal Points &#8211; 7 points+ for ham and 8 points+ for turkey<\/p>\n<p>(If you prefer regular mayo use just a smear for 0 point+ or 1 tsp for 1 point+)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Veggie Burger<\/strong> &#8211;<br \/>\nArnold Wheat Sandwich Thin Bun &#8211; 3 points+ (1 bun)<br \/>\nMorningstar Farms Spicy Black Bean Veggie Burger &#8211; 3 points+ (1 burger)<br \/>\nLaughing Cow Light (various flavors) Cheese &#8211; 1 point+ (1 wedge) (I use in place of mayo)<br \/>\nDijon Mustard &#8211; 6 points+ (1 breast)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lunch Sides:<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nKosher Dill Pickle Spears &#8211; 0 point+ (you will rediscover your love of pickles&#8230;so yummy and 0 points!)<br \/>\nRegular 4% Cottage Cheese &#8211; 6 points (1 cup)<br \/>\ncanned black beans &#8211; 2 points+ (1\/2 cup)<br \/>\nshredded colby cheese &#8211; 3 points+ (1\/4 cup)<br \/>\njarred salsa &#8211; 0 point+<br \/>\nSour Cream &#8211; 1 point+ (2 tbsp)<br \/>\nTotal\u00a0Points &#8211; 13 points+ for beef\u00a0total or 12 points+ total\u00a0\u00a0for\u00a0turkey<br \/>\n*I sometimes omit some of the toppings like cheese or sour cream or cut back on the serving of meat\u00a0to reduce my points but you get the drift.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.skinnytaste.com\/2012\/03\/grilled-garlic-dijon-herb-salmon.html\" target=\"_blank\">Grilled Garlic Dijon Herb Salmon<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; 5 points+ (1 cake)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Johnsonville Stadium Brats<\/strong> &#8211; 6 points+ (1 brat)<br \/>\nSaut\u00e9ed onions and bell peppers &#8211; 0 points+<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.weightwatchers.com\/food\/rcp\/RecipePage.aspx?recipeid=115221\" target=\"_blank\">Juicy Hamburgers<\/a> &#8211; 7 points+ (1\/2, serves 2) with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.skinnytaste.com\/2011\/09\/low-fat-buttermilk-ranch-dressing.html\" target=\"_blank\">homemade buttermilk ranch dressing<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; 1 point+ (1\/4 cup)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Roasted Mushrooms<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Pound of sliced mushrooms, salt &amp; pepper, spray with cooking spray (Olive Oil spray, up to 5 for 0 points+). Roast at 450 for 20 minutes. 0 points+ and oh so delicious! This would work for just about any vegetable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saut\u00e9ed Zucchini and Squash<\/strong> &#8211; Slice thinly, spray with cooking spray, season with herbs and spices and cook till tender. 0 points+!<\/p>\n<p><strong>House Salad<\/strong> &#8211; everyone has their own version of a house salad, green leaves, veges (or without) but to get the most of your salad seasoning is key (and free of points+).\u00a0 I like to sprinkle with pepper, Mrs. Dash table blends or \u00a0italian seasoning, etc. &#8211; 0 points+<br \/>\nMcCormick Salad Toppings &#8211; 1 point+ (1-1\/3 tbsp)<br \/>\nKraft Roasted Red Pepper Dressing &#8211;\u00a01 point+ (2 tbsp)<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.skinnytaste.com\/2012\/03\/roasted-prosciutto-wrapped-asparagus.html\" target=\"_blank\">Roasted Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus Bundles<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; 2 points+ (1 bundle)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Uncle Ben&#8217;s Long Grain and Wild Rice\u00a0Original<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; 5 points+\u00a0 (1 cup cooked)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.krogerkrazy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/berry-smoothie-popsicles.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-69795\" title=\"berry-smoothie-popsicles\" src=\"https:\/\/www.krogerkrazy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/berry-smoothie-popsicles-300x249.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"249\" \/><\/a><\/strong>(<em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.skinnytaste.com\/2011\/06\/berry-yogurt-popsicles.html\" target=\"_blank\">Photo Credit<\/a><\/em>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Desserts:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sugar-Free Jello with Cool Whip Free<\/strong>&#8211; 0 points+ (this is so delicious when you are having a sugar craving)<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.skinnytaste.com\/2011\/06\/berry-yogurt-popsicles.html\" target=\"_blank\">Berry Yogurt Popsicles<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; 1 point+ (1 popsicle)<br \/>\nAmazon sells the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Progressive-International-PLP-1-Freezer-Maker\/dp\/B0000CF7H6\/?_encoding=UTF8&amp;tag=coupokatar-20&amp;linkCode=ur2&amp;qid=1332436423&amp;camp=1789&amp;sr=8-1&amp;creative=9325\" target=\"_blank\">coolest popsicle freezer pop maker<\/a>\u00a0and is perfect for this recipe! They look just like real popsicles and no one is the wiser.\u00a0 My sister has this one and her boys love em!<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.skinnytaste.com\/2012\/02\/homemade-skinny-chocolate-cake.html#more\" target=\"_blank\">Homemade Skinny Chocolate Cake<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; 5 points+ (1 pc)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Weight Watchers English Toffee Squares<\/strong> &#8211; 1 point+ (1 candy) These are great to throw in your purse for a little treat while you&#8217;re on the go!<\/p>\n<p>I usually keep a couple of boxes of 3 or 4 points+ frozen dessert bars on hand at all times just in case&#8230;Here are the ones I&#8217;ve had&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Weight Watchers English Toffee Ice Cream Bar<\/strong> &#8211; 3 points+ (1 bar), these are skinny but good overall!<br \/>\n<strong>Weight Watchers\u00a0Giant Wild Berry &amp; Orange Sorbet and Ice Cream Bar<\/strong> &#8211; 3 points+ (1 bar) and they are huge!<br \/>\nI also have tried the <strong>Weight Watchers Giant Cookies &amp; Cream Ice Cream Bar<\/strong> &#8211; 4 points+ (1 bar), these are really big too!<\/p>\n<p>If I had to pick just one I would say the Orange Sorbet &amp; Ice Cream bar since it&#8217;s more bang for your points and it tastes like a real dreamsicle&#8230;sooo good!! \ud83d\ude2e<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.krogerkrazy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/fresh-fruit.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-69785\" title=\"fresh fruit\" src=\"https:\/\/www.krogerkrazy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/fresh-fruit-300x171.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"171\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Reminders:<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Fresh Fruit &amp; Veges<\/strong> are\u00a0your bestest\u00a0friends\u00a0and 0 points+! I beeline it over to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.krogerkrazy.com\/category\/deals-by-store\/aldi\/\" target=\"_blank\">Aldi<\/a> at least once a week for a various selections of their fresh produce. I cut it all up and put in a huge zip bags\/containers so it&#8217;s always ready to eat so I&#8217;m not tempted to stray off course!\u00a0Be sure to share your helpful hints to include in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.krogerkrazy.com\/2012\/03\/ways-to-save-on-fresh-produce-3\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ways to Save on Fresh Produce<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Drink Plenty of Water<\/strong> &#8211; You either love it\u00a0(like me) or hate it (like my diet coke guzzling older sister) but you gotta do it!\u00a0 If you need a little help transitioning to water you can always try Mio Liquid Water Enhancer (various flavors) or other similar brands for <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">0 points+<\/span> and\u00a0from what I hear (from my brother in law) it tastes great!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tips:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Even if you don&#8217;t feel like eating you can actually sabotage yourself by not eating three balanced meals a day.<\/p>\n<p>Make better food choices.\u00a0 Eat more proteins than carbs and load up on whole grains, fruits and vegetables.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes you can get discouraged if the scale doesn&#8217;t reflect all your efforts to drop the pounds\u00a0so take body measurements.\u00a0 Even if you don&#8217;t lose pounds your waistline could still be shrinking.
