Each week I’m going to try to share with you at least one of my shopping trips with an entire detailed scenario. This week I chose Rite Aid.  What I want from YOU is a comment sharing your shopping experience at Rite Aid. Each week I will choose a winner from the comments section. The winner will get a mystery envelope full of coupons. So this week is Rite Aid, next week may be Kroger or Walgreens, etc.

Rite Aid Deal Scenario (11/25-11/27):

Items Purchased:
(1) göt2b Styling Product (excludes Glue Stylers) – $4.99 = $4.99 SCR
(3) Kleenex Facial Tissue (260 ct) – $1.88 each = $1.00 +UpR each
(1) Colgate Total Advanced Toothpaste (4 oz) – $1.77 = $1.00 +UpR
(1) Colgate 360 Manual Toothbrush – $1.77 = $1.00 +UpR
(1) Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion (10 oz) – $2.99 = $2.00 +UpR
(2) Hall’s Cough Drops (25-30 ct) – $0.99
(1) Carmex Lip Balm – $0.50
Total: $19.13
Why is my total less than $20? Well, because the Colgate Toothpaste actually rang up $0.77 and it ALSO generated a $1.00 +UpR! That was an added bonus, but it messed up my scenario. I had already handed over my coupons and the cashier scanned my $4 off $20. I tried to tell her I needed to add another item, but she said the coupon scanned just fine. Who I am to argue? 🙂

Question - The toothpaste is 1.77 so can you use $1 VV and $1 man.? Or will the register beep? Thank you for your posts! Always very helpful!

Jennifer...it should go through fine. I didn't see any manufacturer coupons for the toothpaste in my database, that's the only reason I didn't list it in the scenario.

That's nice. Too bad, there's no Rite Aid around where I lived. So I'm usually at Walgreens or CVS. I went to CVS and Walgreens today for the Black Friday's deal. I purchased a lot of the items one at a time to use my CVS reward. Lol, the cashier was giving me THE look. I think I got around $5-6 dollars back after rebate.
