I think it will be extremely hard to tell the cashier to deduct 5 bucks when in fact it costs 4. Just think about it, if you see the price of $4 on the screen, why would you subtract $5?
Olga, if you only purchase 4 mega sale items, you will NOT receive the extra $1 off, so why should the coupon not give you the full amount. Unless you count all your items, there’s no way to tell that you purchased in multiples of 5…it should not be assumed that you did unless they know for sure.
Do they have degree for $1 at Kroger?
I have always run into the same problem as freebicali at my store in MI. Still $1.54 for both is still a good deal.

freebicali, the cashier SHOULD deduct the pre-mega discount total because what happens if you do NOT purchase 5 participating items? Then you don’t get that extra $1 off and the price of the shampoo is $5.49.
Can I buy the Degree deo for .99 instead?
i am calculating wrong ? the 2$ off will come before the coupon ( at least that’s what happen at my register) meaning when the total comes up the shampoo will be 4.49 and the degree 2.79 minus 4.49 minus ibotta 1.25$ you still end up paying 1.54$
