Scotties Facial Tissue just introduced the new signature prints from Laura Ashley, available exclusively at Target!

I was given the opportunity to review the collection and was thrilled to see how attractive they were. It was nice to find them with only 2 very discreet logos – no tissue box cover required! The minute they arrived, my five year old daughter found one to match each room in our home! They fit with the decor of my home perfectly – as if they were hand picked just for me (but they weren’t!). These are custom-designed boxes that are meant to blend with the fashion detail of your home. Additionally, the tissues themselves are very soft! Great for the rapidly approaching flu and cold season – not to mention the ever so present ALLERGY season!

If you’re not familiar with Scotties, they have a 3 to 1 promise – for every tree they cut down they plant three trees in its place!

The Giveaway:

Scotties has so generously offered (1) Reader a Laura Ashley Scotties Tissue Prize Pack which contains 4 boxes of Scotties Softest Ever Ultra Facial Tissue from the Laura Ashley Designer Collection along with a $25 Target Gift Card!

Thanks so much to everyone who entered my giveaways! And congratulations to all the winners! Winners have already been contacted by email.

THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED!

If you’ve been reading my blog for some time, you will have noticed that typically when I post an online deal, I will mention that you should go through Ebates to earn cash back on your online purchases.

With Ebates, you can earn cash back at any of over 1,200 stores any time you start your shopping trip at Ebates.com. There are no points to redeem, no forms to mail in, and no fees. Stores pay Ebates a sales commission for sending shoppers their way, and Ebates uses the commission to pay you cash back.

$10 Gift Card Sign-Up Bonus | Through 9/5, you can select a $10 gift card bonus from Barnes & Noble, Target, Home Depot or Magazines.com when you make your first $25 purchase via Ebates.

Here’s a brief walk-through that will hopefully give you a better understanding as to how this site works.

• First of all, you’ll need to Register with Ebates and create an account. (It’s completely FREE!)
• Everytime you shop online, you’ll want to first login to your Ebates account.
• Search for the online store you are shopping with. For example, if you want to shop at TheChildrensPlace.com, you will first go to Ebates, then search “The Children’s Place”. Your search results are shown below.
• Click “Shop Now” and a tracking ticket will be created. You will then be linked to TheChildrensPlace.com where you just shop as you normally would. You can even use coupon codes. The only difference is, Ebates is tracking your purchases so you can earn cash back.

If you notice, each store has a different cash back percentage. In this case, The Children’s Place currently yeilds 3% cash back. It takes anywhere from 3-5 days to see your cash back deposited to your Ebates account after your purchases have been completed. Here is a screen shot of my Cash Pending (from a couple Ebay purchases I made).

Here’s the awesome thing about Ebates…Provided you have at least $5.01 in your account, they send you a check every quarter! Plus, you receive a $5.00 cash bonus just for signing up! Temporarily replaced by gift card promo above. If you do not have at least $5.01 in your account (not counting your bonus), your balance just carries over to the next quarter.

I cannot say enough good things about Ebates. Let’s review: earn cash back for online purchases you were already going to make? That’s a no-brainer.

THE GIVEAWAY:

Ebates has so generously offered (1) Reader $50 in the form of a BIG FAT CHECK (that means cash)!

There are 5 opportunities to enter. The first mandatory entry is that you MUST sign up for Ebates using this link, which as you know is completely FREE and totally worth it! 😉 You must also follow Coupon Katarina for valid entry!

Here are the links you’ll need…then fill in the form below to confirm.

Back-to-school is quickly approaching and Stride Rite is having a special sale which started 7/27 and will run through Tuesday, September 6th at participating Stride Rite retail stores and striderite.com: Buy One Get One 50% Off ALL footwear. Just use promo code BTSBOGO at checkout. Or Locate a Stride Rite store near you.

I have always been a frugal person, but when it comes to shoes…I don’t skimp. Especially for my daughter. I believe that growing feet should have comfortable, well made shoes. I find that while I pay a little more for a quality shoe, the peace of mind makes it worth it!

Stride Rite footwear has always been developed with the highest of standards, backed by the latest research and technology, which moms have come to trust since 1919. Stride Rite is committed to providing a helpful shopping experience that enables moms to make the ‘rite’ shoe decision to meet the developmental needs of their children’s feet among a stylish selection of quality Stride Rite options.

You wouldn’t think something as simple as their shoes would affect them years from now. But many adults with foot problems can point to their childhood footwear as the culprit. Stride Rite allows your child’s feet to grow properly with the right fit, stability and breathability because they know every step counts.

The other thing I love about Stride Rite is the ease of ordering the correct size. You just print out their size chart and measure your childs foot to determine the correct size. So easy and very accurate! I am very excited to get some great deals with this current sale!

THE GIVEAWAY:

One Coupon Katarina Reader will win a pair of kids Stride Rite Sneakers!

Due to inventory availability during this super sale, winner will not be able to choose a specific shoe – they will send the age, gender and shoe size of their child, and Stride Rite will fulfill the shipment.

On July 30th, four young girls will host the 4th Annual Backyard Talent Show for St. Jude in Morton, Illinois. It all started in 2008 when the 4 girls (Maddie, Isabelle, Claire & Kaitlyn) ages 8 to 11 decided to have a lemonade stand to raise money. For 20 years now, their grandma has run in the Memphis to Peoria Run for St. Jude. And so the girls knew what a great cause this was. The lemonade stand raised an impressive $155 in one afternoon. That success inspired the Backyard Talent Show idea! They raised another $350 for St. Jude! There was no doubt that there would be more shows to come.

Their ideas were even bigger and better. They made DVDs, set up a website, and wrote letters to people to raise money. They got sponsors from businesses, successfully advertised, and were featured on local news stations and written up in area newspapers. And now, three shows later, they have already raised over $26,000!

But this year’s show planning involves something completely new, as the girls’ moms discovered couponing over the winter. The families live on tight budgets, and the show budget is tight as well–something the girls have been taught about from the very beginning. For this year’s show, they were taught how to use the moms’ new couponing skills to save money on expenses, which in turn gave them more money to make this show awesome. For example, they purchased soda for the concessions using donated Kroger gift cards PLUS coupons to really maximize the number of cases they could buy. Office supplies were cheap or free utilizing programs like Staples Easy Rebates, and they shopped for costumes, decorations and more online through Ebates to earn money back on purchases.

In fundraising, every little bit helps, and this year, it helped so much that the show has actually outgrown the backyard!! It will be held in a local park with the support of the local tourism association and will feature OVER 50 children… all excited about making a difference for the Children of St. Jude.

A big part of the kids’ mission is to inspire others to give back–especially other kids. They personally know kids who are alive today because of the cutting-edge cancer treatment they received at St. Jude. And it costs $1.6 million dollars each day to run St. Jude, so fundraising for them is vital. But there are many, many other causes who need help too.

The Giveaway:

Want to help in your community? The Backyard Talent Show for St. Jude would like to inspire you by giving away a $10 Kroger gift card that you can use to jumpstart your fundraising project. There are 3 ways to enter. You can do any or all.

1) Leave a comment here on the blog about your favorite cause

2) “Like” Backyard Talent Show for St. Jude on Facebook and let them know Coupon Katarina sent you! Then leave a separate comment telling me so.

3) Follow Backyard Talent Show for St. Jude on Twitter (@BYTSforStJude). Then leave a separate comment telling me so.

If you do not have at least $5.01 in your account (not counting your bonus), your balance just carries over to the next quarter.

I cannot say enough good things about Ebates. Let’s review: earn cash back for online purchases you were already going to make? That’s a no-brainer.

Just wanted to remind you to enter my latest giveaway, which ends tonight!

Win $15 worth of Bruegger’s Bakery Bucks

As we get ready for summer, how to eat healthy and stay fit is sure on my mind! How about you? Well, Bruegger’s has made cutting calories an easy choice since unveiling it’s new Under 500 Calorie Menu where guests can treat themselves to over 100 different combinations of skinny bagels, Cafe’ Salads and soups.

They’ve already rolled out the new skinny bagel – with all of the taste of its regular bagel, but about 100 calories less per serving. That means if you make it skinny every day, you’ll save 500 calories per work week!  Bruegger’s has made it skinny without compromising the taste or texture of the real New York style. Instead of changing the recipe, Bruegger’s cuts the bagels using a patented knife, removing approximately one-third of the center but preserving its unique eggshell crust and delicious toppings. The result? Guests have a lower calorie option without sacrificing variety or taste.

The Cafe’ Salad was Bruegger’s latest addition to the “Skinny Menu.”  At only 330 calories or less and 5 different versions to choose from, each new salad will leave guests both surprised and pleased to see they can have such flavorful options for so few calories.  And, since each salad costs $4.99 at most locations, you can move the bulge from your waist to your wallet!

Bruegger’s is now inviting their fans to go on Facebook and share their opinions through a survey on the new Under 500 Calorie menu.  Once they answer a few questions they can then link into 2 coupons they can print and use at their neighborhood Bruegger’s.

• FREE Regular Sized Sweetened Iced Tea with Cafe Salad Purchase (exp 6/24)
• $2.99 for a Zesty Egg White Sandwich (exp 6/24)
