In a Mega Sale situation, you MUST purchase 6 participating items (in this case) to get the additional $3 mega savings ($0.50 per item). So, for example you have a cart full of groceries, but you count only 5 items. A filler item is what you grab to get your item count up to a multiple of 6 so that you can get the mega discount on all of your items. Preferably something very inexpensive that doesn’t require a coupon, because if you had a coupon – it’s probably already in your cart!
(all prices valid through 2/2)

I was able to use $2/2 any Neutrogena on the facial bar, so makes if $0.49. Also, I used the BOGO Snapple Straight Up Tea, which made both bottles free. Thank you for this list.
Another one is Nissin noodles— $.39 in Delta region.
If you buy 6 items at .49 cents each (for instance red gold tomatoes), would you still get the $3 off? That would make them free, wouldn’t it?
She lists the price after the discount. The price would be 99 cents if you bought it alone.
For sales like buy 6 save $3, can I do it in multiple trips
You can plan as many trips as you want as long as each transaction has multiples of 6 qualifying items for the sale price to work
Thank you so much for posting your site has helped my family so much. Thank you, Thank you, thank you.
Here at QFC this week we have the best filler of all – MILK. A half gallon for $.99 is included in the mega sale as one of the six items. 🙂
how about the juicy juice boxes?
Samantha, well we have a coupon for those so I don’t include that as a “filler”, but if it’s something you use – by all means grab more! 🙂 https://www.krogerkrazy.com/2016/01/juicy-juice-kroger-mega-sale/
