Today is MEGA SWAGBUCKS FRIDAY, which means instead of earning the usual 10-20 Swagbucks on a search, you can earn between 40-1000, even 2000 swagbucks on a single search!! I seriously LOVE Swagbucks. I think it’s one of the easiest ways to earn free gift cards. You’re already doing internet searches anyway, so why not use a search engine that pays you?
If you’re new to Swagbucks you earn 30 bucks just for signing up! It only takes 450 Swagbucks to earn a $5 Amazon Gift Card, so you’ll be well on your way!! Sign up here.
Besides searching, here are a few of my favorite ways to earn extra Swagbucks EVERY single day:
Additionally, they have revamped their Gift Card section of the Swag Store. Now you can choose from Home Depot, Fandango, Romano’s Macaroni Grill, CVS, Zappos, Land’s End, Spa Finder, Overstock.com; the list goes on and on.
Make Swagbucks your home page so you always use it for your searches. Then, start searching! You usually earn 10 or 20 swagbucks every few searches. Redeem your swagbucks for gift cards or put the money in your paypal account! You only need 450 swagbucks (you can easily get that within the first 2 weeks) to earn a $5 Amazon card or 1300 swagbucks for a $5 Starbucks card…and they add up quickly! Seriously, if you’re not using Swagbucks, you’re missing out on FREE money! There’s no obligation and no strings attached. I even downloaded the toolbar and have not had ANY issues! It’s just too easy!
So get started and let me know if you’re a big winner!!
There is nothing to clip and nothing to print. The money goes directly into your account. Once your savings reach $5, you can pick your payout from a deposit into your bank or PayPal account, an Amazon gift card, or a donation to American Forests.

With the Back-to-School Season in full swing, it’s easy to get overwhelmed with all that shopping, especially in these economically challenging times! Here are a few suggestions that will help you keep more money in your wallet, while getting everything your little student wants and deserves!
Shop Thrift Stores. Many schools are now requiring uniforms. Check your local thrift store or online merchant, like Ebay for gently used uniforms on the cheap! You may also want to check with friends and/or yard sales!
Use a Cash-Back site for Online Shopping. If used clothes aren’t your thing, be sure to use sites like Ebates or Shop At Home to earn cash back on all your online purchases. Plus, if you’re new to these sites you will also earn a $5 sign up bonus! Be sure to sign up for store eNewsletters so you are offered member-exclusive coupons and discounts.
Stock up on Clearance Items. No, your Kindergartner isn’t going to wear that size 7 shirt right away, but if it’s on clearance for $3 you may as well pick it up NOW for next year! Take advantage of those end of season clearance sales and always think ahead! I have a whole drawer full of “one size too big” items that I snagged for next to nothing. And as we parents all know…next year comes faster than we expect!
Buy School Supplies for the whole year. What little kid (or adult for that matter) doesn’t love a brand new box of crayons? Well, make sure you stock up when crayons are a $0.25 in August so you can still have brand new crayons in January! The trick is keeping those little fingers out of the supply box so you CAN save them for all year round! See my back to school comparison chart for the best weekly deals on school supplies this year.
Be sure to only buy items that are on your child’s list from the school. It’s easy to go nutso and overbuy, but many times those items are not needed. Do your best to stick to the list.
Use coupons! Yes, there are coupons for school supplies! Search my coupon database and you will find coupons for pens, paper, crayons and more!
Invest in a good quality backpack so you don’t have to buy one every year.
Pack your child’s lunch! This also ensure they will be getting a healthy, well-balanced meal.
Use reusable bags. Cheaper and good for the environment!
Don’t buy individual servings that cost more. Instead, buy in bulk and divide into smaller packages yourself.
What suggestions do you have for back to school savings? Feel free to leave your comments below!
If you’re in need of a new printer, then check out the latest Amazon Lightning Deal – good through 2pm (EST) ONLY!
Get a Kodak ESP 7250 All-in-One Printer for ONLY $89.99 (discount reflected at checkout). It was priced at $141.06, so this is one super deal!
I do not have this exact model, but I do have the 5250 – which is very similar. I LOVE my printer! Now, let me warn you – the reviews on this printer are not the best. But, I think some of these people have unrealistic expectations. I have not had ANY problems with my printer and just love it. The best part is, the black ink cartridge is only $9.97 and color ink is only $17.97 at Walmart!! I only use it to print my coupons (and other random things)…so I don’t know what the “photo quality” is. I get my photo prints for free, why would I print them myself? 😉
Kroger is currently offering 4X Fuel Points when you purchase gift cards! There are hundreds to choose from…you can browse through them here. Gift cards are a great way to save on gas! If you plan on shopping at these stores anyway, you may as well take advantage of the gas discount!
For each increment of 100 Points redeemed at the pump, 10¢ off per gallon is awarded up to $1 off per gallon.
Example:
How do I earn Points?
There are three ways to earn Points in Kroger stores:
1. Spending on Groceries (normal exclusions apply): $100 in Groceries = 100 Points
2. Non-federally funded Prescriptions: 2 Prescriptions = 100 Points
3. Double 4X Gift Card Points (normal exclusions apply): $50 in Gift Cards = 100 200 Points
