HELLO…2010!!
I don’t make new year’s resolutions, but I do like to set goals for myself. One of those is to GET ORGANIZED! I feel like when I’m organized everything else falls into place. I used to be organized…I used to be one of those people who had a place for everything. I was like one of those super-annoying organized people. Open any cabinet and it would be immaculate. Move something on my desk, and I would KNOW IT! People made fun, but it felt so good. Ask my husband. I would rather he cleaned my house immaculate than buy me diamonds. That’s all he has to do…and I’m falling in love all over again. I want to be like that again. These days, everything is in disarray. Chasing around a 3 year old leaves little time for organizing cabinets. Toys are taking over my life. But, honestly, I’ve come to terms with the fact that the same toys I picked up tonight will be strewn throughout the house by 9AM the next day. And actually, I would much rather be doing a puzzle with my daughter than straighten the silverware. The toys I can deal with. What really needs my attention are my coupons! I’ve been so busy blogging about coupons that I’ve neglected my own. As a fairly new blogger, I’ve been a little unbalanced with that. So one of my goals is to get those coupons organized. I am also in the process of building a coupon database so I can share with you what coupons are available to you. And I may have to come up with a different couponing system so that I don’t have to clip every single coupon…it’s too much!! Or, maybe I can find a 12 year old to help me that. Any volunteers? Nick? Anyone, Bueller?
Ok. There. I’m accountable now. Here’s to an organized 2010!!!
What are your goals for 2010?

AMAZON PRIME FREE TRIAL – JUST TO GET YOU THINKING!!
So, hopefully by now you have all signed up for the 3-month free trial to Amazon Prime. I’ve seen 1-month trial offers, but 3 months is unheard of, so I would jump on it if I were you!
I just wanted to share with you what I am so excited about purchasing with my free 2-day shipping!
My daughter LOVES the Dover Little Activity & Sticker Books. The only place I can find them is at a Cracker Barrell, 30 minutes away. So! I was going to order her a few (they’re only $1.50 each) on Amazon awhile back, but the shipping costs stopped me. I ended up waiting until my next trip to the Cracker Barrell. So, needless to say, I am super excited about ordering her a few of these. They are great for travel – I just slip a couple in my purse and whip them out right at the moment of meltdown at the grocery store, doctor’s office, etc. We both just love them. They have tons of different themes to choose from, so they never get boring.
Think about things you have wanted to order in the past, but didn’t want to pay shipping costs on. Or, think about what you normally would drive out of town for…Save your gas money…Amazon has EVERYTHING! Take advantage of it and let me know what deals you get!!
UPDATE: One of my readers just ordered the Dover sticker books and informed me that they are running a buy 3, get 1 free special!! Awesome!! This is not advertised at all until they send you your confirmation email. So, make sure you order in multiples of 4 to get a freebie! Thanks, KB!
1 YEAR SUBSCRIPTION TO HEALTH MAGAZINE – JUST $5.00!!

ONLINE SHOPPING REMINDERS
Since I’ve been posting several online deals, I wanted to give you some things to remember when making online purchases.
First of all – NEVER PAY FULL PRICE!!
I always check www.retailmenot.com first, to see if there is a coupon code I can use. Just search the store you’re shopping at and several codes to choose from…some work, some don’t. Just try them out.
The second thing you want to do is go through a site like Ebates or Shop-At-Home where you can earn cash back on your online purchases. For example, if you buy something from Kohl’s, you get 4% cash back in your account, then you get a check! Ebates sends you a check quarterly and Shop-At-Home sends you a check once your account balance reaches $20.
And the last thing you should do is of course check my site daily so you don’t miss out on those awesome online deals!! Or better yet, subscribe to get daily updates emailed!!
KOHLS HUGE SALE 60-70% OFF + EARN CASH BACK!!
But, you can get FREE shipping plus an extra 20% off using the coupon codes I found on retailmenot.com. And to get an even better deal, go through ebates or shop-at-home to receive 4% cash back on all your Kohl’s purchases. If you haven’t signed up for these yet, I highly reccomend it as you will also get a $5 signing bonus.
Here’s what you do:
- Go to ebates or shop-at-home.
- Search Kohl’s
- Link to Kohl’s website
- Start shopping!!
- At checkout, enter the following codes:
NOCHARGE – to get free shipping
EXTRA20 – to get an extra 20% off
(these codes do not have guaranteed success, but if not you’re still getting an awesome deal!)
If you’re unfamiliar with ebates and shop-at-home, read this first.
