I have used these in that past and have gotten some great deals; however, be sure to read the fine print on the deals – many have where you have to purchase a minimum of $35-$45 and an 18% gratuity added in before the discount, which will add an additional $6-$8 dollars.
Also if the company has a website that has a menu check out to be sure they have something you want and the approximate cost – if no cost is listed, call the restaurant and ask before buying.
The above were lessons learned the hard way. One of those “deals” ending up costing me $35 even after the $25 coupon was deducted for a steak the diameter of a soda can that tasted like fish and bad service that was rewarded with the automatic 18% gratuity.
