I am SO excited for Chili Season! With the weather cooling down this is something that we have at my house all fall and winter long. It’s a super easy meal to prepare and doesn’t skimp on taste. Chili is a dish that brings people together with its warmth and flavor. What’s game day without a big pot of chili simmering? Chili season is here to stay and Kroger is here to help you “Chili Your Way”.
The WCCC (World Championship Chili Cook-off) was not just an event; it’s a celebration of chili, community, and creativity. It’s where champions are born, and memories are made. I was invited to attend the 56th World Championship Chili Cook-off in Myrtle Beach over the weekend and it was an experience that I’ll always remember and can’t wait to return to each year.
At the heart of the WCCC are the chili cook-offs themselves, where talented chefs from all corners of the globe bring their secret recipes, fierce determination, and culinary creativity to the forefront. It’s a fierce competition that determines who can claim the coveted title of World Champion Chili. But there’s so much more to savor! I got to meet so many amazing cooks who ALL love and shop Kroger or Kroger affiliate stores.
On top of this, I was a “celebrity” judge and got to be an active part of this prestigious event and had the privilege of savoring some of the most mouthwatering and creative chili creations on the planet. From the tantalizing aromas to the explosion of flavors, it’s been a true culinary adventure! But it’s not just about the chili; it’s about the passion, dedication, and creativity of the talented chefs who have poured their hearts and souls into their recipes. Every bowl tells a story, and every taste is a journey.
Thank you to the WCCC for this incredible opportunity and to all the chili chefs for sharing their culinary artistry. It’s an honor to be part of this spicy, flavorful tradition! Stay tuned for more behind-the-scenes moments and highlights from this fiery event. And remember, the world of chili is not just about competition; it’s a celebration of community, creativity, and camaraderie! It’s your turn with Chili Your Way to get your bowl of Chili for the season simmering on your stove!

For a limited time, there is an amazing program going on at Kroger that will make your meals even better. From now and through December 5th, you’ll be rewarded with a $5.00 coupon on your next in-store* produce purchase when you spend $20 on select Chili Your Way participating products. The coupon will print from the Catalina machine at checkout once you reach that $20 threshold.
*This offer is valid in roughly 2,300 stores across Kroger family of stores with the exception of Harris Teeter & Food 4 Less.

Look for these shelf blades in store like shown below. These will be all throughout your store showing participating products, but on each shelf blade there is a QR code you can scan to make sure the item is participating.

The QR code will send you to the Chili Your Way website for some delicious recipes, partners, shopping lists and more about the AMAZING World Championship Chili Cookoff that’s happening at the end of September! (Spoiler alert: Yours Truly will be there!) You can find the participating brands at the bottom of the Chili Your Way page or you can click HERE to get there faster (but you’ll definitely want to check out the recipes above that for something new)!!

You’ll also see special displays in your store (shown above) that will include some of the necessary items to purchase and make your next batch of Chili. Make it your way and add some extra spice.
Whether you prefer it spicy, mild, or somewhere in between, there’s a chili recipe for everyone! So, grab your apron and start experimenting with your own chili recipes or find one on the Chili Your Way website.
