I am 60 and just have the pop up gray. I have gray streaks by my ears but very little else. Using a touch up is good because I can blend the color with the streaks ad it looks deliberate.
I’m definitely going whitish gray but I currently color my hair about once every month. I have found the right combination to products that give me a very natural reddish blonde color which people seem to really like. I’m happy with my routine for now. But using root touch up is very important for me especially when I’m traveling.
