Kroger Pickup, I Love You Because of THIS Big Reason (Reserve Your Time NOW)!

Kroger Pickup Reserve

As many of you already know, Kroger has waived the $4.95 Kroger Pickup fee indefinitely. That’s not the reason I LOVE Kroger Pickup, but it is AMAZING of them to do this! Many of you are having issues with reserving a reasonable time due to the popularity of this service right now. Watch the video above for a tip from Team Kroger Krazy that will help your cause (this is the part I love). 😉 😍

Ok, here it is…PLAN AHEAD! You know you’re going to need groceries, so start your cart NOW! To begin, just add a couple of items and reserve your time…do that now. Go through the entire checkout process, including payment confirmation. Then, between now and up until 11:59 P.M. the night before your scheduled pickup, you can continue to add or modify your your cart. As we post deals here on Kroger Krazy, add them to your cart! Your pickup time will not change, because you have already reserved a spot that’s available (maybe for next week).

Here’s how:

  • Log in to your Kroger.com account
  • Make sure you are shopping via PICKUP
  • Start adding items to your cart (can be just a couple items for now)
  • View your Cart, and reserve your pickup time
  • Go through the ENTIRE checkout process, including payment and submit your order
  • Boom! Your time is reserved! But GUESS WHAT? You can still make changes, go through every day and add or edit your order if needed! All you are doing is reserving your spot so you don’t feel rushed to complete your cart right away.

I’m ready to answer another important question. How do I modify my order?

From your PC, you’ll need to do the following:

  • Click on your name (account) at the top right hand side. In drop down menu you’ll click ‘My Purchases’
  • Your past purchases will show up (both in-store and pick-up)
  • Click modify order and you’ll be able to add more items to your cart (as shown above)
  • Add additional items (I added a couple packages of Kroger brand Cheese)
  • Click ‘Review Order’ (shown below)
  • On next screen click ‘Submit Order’ (shown below)

Modifying from your phone is a little different but just as easy. You’ll need to:

  • Open the Kroger App
  • At top of screen Pickup Order, location and time and below it will read ‘Add Items to Pending Order’, click there (as shown below)
  • Click ‘Modify This Order’ (as shown below)
  • On next screen you will be able to add your additional items.
  • When done, click ‘Confirm Changes’ (as shown below)

You will then receive an email from Kroger letting you know that your order has been modified and they will remind you of your pickup time. I have modified my order 4 times already.  Please NOTE: You will see multiple charges in your bank account just as you were going to Kroger to pick up these items daily. I know that may be hard for some but it still is a life saver for me. Best idea ever!

Iv had a couple issues with items i got Oen had a day before best buy date and couple where close to expiration on a couple other items didnt l like i think couple of them were bad bad when ate made me sick sent a complaint to corporate no respond at all been almost A week now no respond.

So before the world went crazy I used curbside pickup a ton. I tried to modify a Kroger order and it started a completely new order with my modifications. Fine. Whatever. Now I can't modify either order. One tells me there's an issue with my payment and to contact my provider (I did - card is fine). Other tells me "there's been a error". I called Kroger. After a 45 min wait the rep told me there are random error messages but they aren't allowing any modifications anymore to orders. For an order that's a week out! Are other people running into this?

I have discovered that I need to schedule a Kroger pickup as soon as I wake up, which is typically at 5 AM. Kroger used to only let you schedule three days in advance, but now they will let you schedule seven days in advance. It is now hard to schedule any pickup time, SO DO IT WELL IN ADVANCE!

Have you discovered how the expiration date (digital & paper) will work if we have to pick up our groceries after the coupon expires? I placed an order today that I cannot pick up until Tue. However, my coupons expire Sunday. Thank you for all of your advice and assistance.

Your order will finalize at time of pick up and so are the coupons. Prices and coupons good at time of placing the order are irrelevant unfortunately. You will only get discounts and prices valid the day of pick up.

I don't like using their pick up. They replace items with other items that I don't have coupons for or don't give me the amount I need to use the coupon etc. It was to much of a hassle so I just go inside and get what I need and leave.

The advice about modifying is incorrect. I have been using the clicklist since it began and in the past you could do that up to midnight the day before your pickup but 2 weeks my order reserved for 3-23-20 and I modified my before cut off and then it kicked my out to 3-25-20. I was upset and went in and talked with managers and they were sorry but due to the order modifying you lose your spot because they are so over whelmed with orders. This was at the Springfield, TN. store. Leisa epps

I have ordered a sale item not listed before by adding a similar item to the list and adding notes. For example, adding a ham shank to your cart. Then in the notes say that you dont want the ham shank and that u actually want the spiral ham from this weeks ad. If they mess it up or dont understand, when they come to your vehicle, explain it to them and they can go back in and get it. Just make sure you talk to them when they come out to verify that tou actually got the correct product!

Nrat - this is not correct. At my store (and I work in clicklist), If it isn't available on line, we will not add it for you when you pull up to pick up your groceries. The other thing is (again, at my store) if you pick a ham shank, you will get a ham shank. We will not automatically give you the special item you "really" want from the notes section. maybe small, low volume store can do this.. but I assure you, high volume stores cannot accommodate. Your best best is to call and speak to someone in clicklist. Ask if they can add it to your order.

I dislike the fact that I place my order, and it's not until 5 days away and I can't modify. Still placed the order and started another one with items I forgot. It's all good, gets me out of the house, yes I'm staying in the car, my immune system is compromised. Will take a minute or two to sterilize everything when I bring it home. BTW I too did not see a tip.

I work at kroger, actually doing Pickup. You do not get the sale price after the date has passed. Final charged price is based on pickup date, not on order date.

How Does Kroger Cash Back Work?

I’m so excited to talk to you about Kroger Cash Back.

This is a new rebate program similar to Ibotta (that we all love)!  This is very new to Kroger so it’s still a learning process for me.  I will be learning more and updating as I get more information so stay tuned.


UPDATE AS OF 2/5/20: It has come to our attention that Kroger has updated their Cash Back FAQs to now state that PAPER coupons also cannot be used with the cash back offers. This clause was added AFTER we wrote our initial tutorial and I recorded the video below, so please take note of that. We will no longer be stacking ANY coupons with Kroger Cash Back offers in order to keep in line with written policy. “Digital Coupons and Cash Back Offers may not be combined and are limited to one per item. Cash Back Offers and paper coupons may also not be combined on the purchase of a single item.”

UPDATE AS OF 7/2/19: After experimenting for a couple of weeks, we have some answers to questions, so I wanted to do a video explaining a bit more in depth on how exactly this works!!



In order to find this page, head to Kroger and click the save button at the top of the page and scroll down to “Kroger Cash Back“.

NOTE: This option is currently ONLY available on Kroger.com, not on the Kroger app. 

What are Cash Back Offers and Rewards?

Kroger Cash Back is a new program where you can earn money on the items you buy everyday! Simply load the Cash Back Offer to your Shopper’s Card to redeem on qualifying purchases. Once you purchase the qualifying item for the Cash Back Offer, your balance will begin to accrue. You can then cash out your Cash Back Reward to your Shopper’s Card or PayPal account.

What is required to load Cash Back Offers?

To take advantage of a Cash Back Offer, you just need to create an account on Kroger’s account and register your Shopper’s Card. If you don’t have a digital account, click here.

What is required to redeem Cash Back Rewards?

To redeem Cash Back Rewards, you’ll need to log in to your account and cash out your available Cash Back Rewards via Shopper’s Card or PayPal. Please note, other members of your household cannot cash out your Cash Back Rewards. However, if cashing out to your Shopper’s Card, please be advised that other members of your household may be able to use your Cash Back Rewards on their next shopping trip.

How does cashing out my Cash Back Rewards to my Shopper’s Card work?

Your Cash Back Reward earnings can be transferred to your Shopper’s Card and you can choose the amount to load to your card up to $99.99 per day. The Cash Back Reward amount can be redeemed on your next shopping trip. If you do not use the full Cash Back Reward amount in one shopping trip, you can continue to use it in future shopping trips until you use all of the remaining amount. Cash Back Reward earnings cannot be applied to the purchase of fuel, gift cards, alcohol, pharmacy purchases, tobacco products, lottery, money services and fees.

How does cashing out my Cash Back Rewards to my PayPal account work?

Your Cash Back Reward earnings can be transferred to your desired PayPal account as soon as you’ve earned $20.00. Please note, you cannot cash out more than $99.99 per day.

You’ll then head to Kroger and pay for the items and within a week, your account will be credited. Be sure to read the coupon to see how many times you can redeem for cash back in one transaction.

How often can I cash out my Cash Back Rewards?

You are only allowed to cash out once within a 24-hour period for both your Shopper’s Card and PayPal account.

How does Cash Back work?

  • View and select Cash Back Offers from our website
  • Purchase the qualifying item(s) in-store or online
  • Be sure to scan your Shopper’s Card at the register in the store!
  • Once you have purchased the item, the Cash Back balance will be available for you to cash out.

To cash out:

  • Select the Cash Back amount you would like to cash out
  • Redeem via your Shopper’s Card or PayPal account

How many Cash Back Offers can I load to my Shopper’s Card?

A limit of 150 Cash Back Offers and Digital Coupons per household can be loaded at one time.

How can I view the Cash Back Offers that I have already loaded onto my Shopper’s Card?

After you’ve signed in to your digital account, click the “My Cash Back Offers” tab on the Cash Back Offers page to view the Cash Back Offers that have already been loaded to your Card. Currently, you can only view your Cash Back offers through our website, not our mobile app.

How long does it take until my Cash Back Offers and Rewards are active on my Card?

Cash Back Offers are available as soon as you load them to your Card. Cash Back Rewards are available within a week of meeting the Cash Back Offer’s purchase requirement(s) (after you purchase the product).

How does cashing out my Cash Back Rewards to my PayPal account work?

Your Cash Back Reward earnings can be transferred to your desired PayPal account as soon as you’ve earned $20.00. Please note, you cannot cash out more than $99.99 per day.

You’ll then head to Kroger and pay for the items and within a week, your account will be credited. Be sure to read the coupon to see how many times you can redeem for cash back in one transaction.

How often can I cash out my Cash Back Rewards?

You are only allowed to cash out once within a 24-hour period for both your Shopper’s Card and PayPal account.

What if my Shopper’s Card number isn’t associated with my digital account?

To associate your Shopper’s Card with your digital account, simply sign in to your digital account, navigate to the My Account page, select “Shopper’s Card” and select “Edit”. Once your Shopper’s Card information has been added to your digital account, you’ll be able to load Cash Back Offers and Rewards directly to your Card.

How does Cash Back work?

  • View and select Cash Back Offers from our website
  • Purchase the qualifying item(s) in-store or online
  • Be sure to scan your Shopper’s Card at the register in the store!
  • Once you have purchased the item, the Cash Back balance will be available for you to cash out.

To cash out:

  • Select the Cash Back amount you would like to cash out
  • Redeem via your Shopper’s Card or PayPal account

How many Cash Back Offers can I load to my Shopper’s Card?

A limit of 150 Cash Back Offers and Digital Coupons per household can be loaded at one time.

How can I view the Cash Back Offers that I have already loaded onto my Shopper’s Card?

After you’ve signed in to your digital account, click the “My Cash Back Offers” tab on the Cash Back Offers page to view the Cash Back Offers that have already been loaded to your Card. Currently, you can only view your Cash Back offers through our website, not our mobile app.

How long does it take until my Cash Back Offers and Rewards are active on my Card?

Cash Back Offers are available as soon as you load them to your Card. Cash Back Rewards are available within a week of meeting the Cash Back Offer’s purchase requirement(s) (after you purchase the product).

Iv had a couple issues with items i got Oen had a day before best buy date and couple where close to expiration on a couple other items didnt l like i think couple of them were bad bad when ate made me sick sent a complaint to corporate no respond at all been almost A week now no respond.

So before the world went crazy I used curbside pickup a ton. I tried to modify a Kroger order and it started a completely new order with my modifications. Fine. Whatever. Now I can't modify either order. One tells me there's an issue with my payment and to contact my provider (I did - card is fine). Other tells me "there's been a error". I called Kroger. After a 45 min wait the rep told me there are random error messages but they aren't allowing any modifications anymore to orders. For an order that's a week out! Are other people running into this?

I have discovered that I need to schedule a Kroger pickup as soon as I wake up, which is typically at 5 AM. Kroger used to only let you schedule three days in advance, but now they will let you schedule seven days in advance. It is now hard to schedule any pickup time, SO DO IT WELL IN ADVANCE!

Have you discovered how the expiration date (digital & paper) will work if we have to pick up our groceries after the coupon expires? I placed an order today that I cannot pick up until Tue. However, my coupons expire Sunday. Thank you for all of your advice and assistance.

Your order will finalize at time of pick up and so are the coupons. Prices and coupons good at time of placing the order are irrelevant unfortunately. You will only get discounts and prices valid the day of pick up.

I don't like using their pick up. They replace items with other items that I don't have coupons for or don't give me the amount I need to use the coupon etc. It was to much of a hassle so I just go inside and get what I need and leave.

The advice about modifying is incorrect. I have been using the clicklist since it began and in the past you could do that up to midnight the day before your pickup but 2 weeks my order reserved for 3-23-20 and I modified my before cut off and then it kicked my out to 3-25-20. I was upset and went in and talked with managers and they were sorry but due to the order modifying you lose your spot because they are so over whelmed with orders. This was at the Springfield, TN. store. Leisa epps

I have ordered a sale item not listed before by adding a similar item to the list and adding notes. For example, adding a ham shank to your cart. Then in the notes say that you dont want the ham shank and that u actually want the spiral ham from this weeks ad. If they mess it up or dont understand, when they come to your vehicle, explain it to them and they can go back in and get it. Just make sure you talk to them when they come out to verify that tou actually got the correct product!

Nrat - this is not correct. At my store (and I work in clicklist), If it isn't available on line, we will not add it for you when you pull up to pick up your groceries. The other thing is (again, at my store) if you pick a ham shank, you will get a ham shank. We will not automatically give you the special item you "really" want from the notes section. maybe small, low volume store can do this.. but I assure you, high volume stores cannot accommodate. Your best best is to call and speak to someone in clicklist. Ask if they can add it to your order.

I dislike the fact that I place my order, and it's not until 5 days away and I can't modify. Still placed the order and started another one with items I forgot. It's all good, gets me out of the house, yes I'm staying in the car, my immune system is compromised. Will take a minute or two to sterilize everything when I bring it home. In a Kroger Mega Event situation, you MUST purchase 5 participating items (in this case) to get the additional $5 mega savings ($1 per item). So, for example you have a cart full of groceries, but you count only 9 items. A filler item is what you grab to get your item count up to a multiple of 5 so that you can get the mega discount on all of your items. Preferably something very inexpensive that doesn’t require a coupon, because if you had a coupon – it’s probably already in your cart!

Right now, I can't order the spiral ham, chuck roast, or turkey breast special. It doesn't show in the online search. This seems irresponsible to make people come into the store right now to buy them.

I have ordered a sale item not listed before by adding a similar item to the list and adding notes. For example, adding a ham shank to your cart. Then in the notes say that you dont want the ham shank and that u actually want the spiral ham from this weeks ad. If they mess it up or dont understand, when they come to your vehicle, explain it to them and they can go back in and get it. Just make sure you talk to them when they come out to verify that tou actually got the correct product!

Nrat - this is not correct. At my store (and I work in clicklist), If it isn't available on line, we will not add it for you when you pull up to pick up your groceries. The other thing is (again, at my store) if you pick a ham shank, you will get a ham shank. We will not automatically give you the special item you "really" want from the notes section. maybe small, low volume store can do this.. but I assure you, high volume stores cannot accommodate. Your best best is to call and speak to someone in clicklist. Ask if they can add it to your order.

I dislike the fact that I place my order, and it's not until 5 days away and I can't modify. Still placed the order and started another one with items I forgot. It's all good, gets me out of the house, yes I'm staying in the car, my immune system is compromised. Will take a minute or two to sterilize everything when I bring it home. BTW I too did not see a tip.

I work at kroger, actually doing Pickup. You do not get the sale price after the date has passed. Final charged price is based on pickup date, not on order date.

Iv had a couple issues with items i got Oen had a day before best buy date and couple where close to expiration on a couple other items didnt l like i think couple of them were bad bad when ate made me sick sent a complaint to corporate no respond at all been almost A week now no respond.

So before the world went crazy I used curbside pickup a ton. I tried to modify a Kroger order and it started a completely new order with my modifications. Fine. Whatever. Now I can't modify either order. One tells me there's an issue with my payment and to contact my provider (I did - card is fine). Other tells me "there's been a error". I called Kroger. After a 45 min wait the rep told me there are random error messages but they aren't allowing any modifications anymore to orders. For an order that's a week out! Are other people running into this?

I have discovered that I need to schedule a Kroger pickup as soon as I wake up, which is typically at 5 AM. Kroger used to only let you schedule three days in advance, but now they will let you schedule seven days in advance. It is now hard to schedule any pickup time, SO DO IT WELL IN ADVANCE!

Have you discovered how the expiration date (digital & paper) will work if we have to pick up our groceries after the coupon expires? I placed an order today that I cannot pick up until Tue. However, my coupons expire Sunday. Thank you for all of your advice and assistance.

Your order will finalize at time of pick up and so are the coupons. Prices and coupons good at time of placing the order are irrelevant unfortunately. You will only get discounts and prices valid the day of pick up.

I don't like using their pick up. They replace items with other items that I don't have coupons for or don't give me the amount I need to use the coupon etc. It was to much of a hassle so I just go inside and get what I need and leave.

The advice about modifying is incorrect. I have been using the clicklist since it began and in the past you could do that up to midnight the day before your pickup but 2 weeks my order reserved for 3-23-20 and I modified my before cut off and then it kicked my out to 3-25-20. I was upset and went in and talked with managers and they were sorry but due to the order modifying you lose your spot because they are so over whelmed with orders. This was at the Springfield, TN. store. Leisa epps

I don't like using their pick up. They replace items with other items that I don't have coupons for or don't give me the amount I need to use the coupon etc. It was to much of a hassle so I just go inside and get what I need and leave.

The advice about modifying is incorrect. I have been using the clicklist since it began and in the past you could do that up to midnight the day before your pickup but 2 weeks my order reserved for 3-23-20 and I modified my before cut off and then it kicked my out to 3-25-20. I was upset and went in and talked with managers and they were sorry but due to the order modifying you lose your spot because they are so over whelmed with orders. This was at the Springfield, TN. store. Leisa epps

I have ordered a sale item not listed before by adding a similar item to the list and adding notes. For example, adding a ham shank to your cart. Then in the notes say that you dont want the ham shank and that u actually want the spiral ham from this weeks ad. If they mess it up or dont understand, when they come to your vehicle, explain it to them and they can go back in and get it. Just make sure you talk to them when they come out to verify that tou actually got the correct product!

Nrat - this is not correct. At my store (and I work in clicklist), If it isn't available on line, we will not add it for you when you pull up to pick up your groceries. The other thing is (again, at my store) if you pick a ham shank, you will get a ham shank. We will not automatically give you the special item you "really" want from the notes section. maybe small, low volume store can do this.. but I assure you, high volume stores cannot accommodate. Your best best is to call and speak to someone in clicklist. Ask if they can add it to your order.

I dislike the fact that I place my order, and it's not until 5 days away and I can't modify. Still placed the order and started another one with items I forgot. It's all good, gets me out of the house, yes I'm staying in the car, my immune system is compromised. Will take a minute or two to sterilize everything when I bring it home. BTW I too did not see a tip.

Iv had a couple issues with items i got Oen had a day before best buy date and couple where close to expiration on a couple other items didnt l like i think couple of them were bad bad when ate made me sick sent a complaint to corporate no respond at all been almost A week now no respond.

So before the world went crazy I used curbside pickup a ton. I tried to modify a Kroger order and it started a completely new order with my modifications. Fine. Whatever. Now I can't modify either order. One tells me there's an issue with my payment and to contact my provider (I did - card is fine). Other tells me "there's been a error". I called Kroger. After a 45 min wait the rep told me there are random error messages but they aren't allowing any modifications anymore to orders. For an order that's a week out! Are other people running into this?

I have discovered that I need to schedule a Kroger pickup as soon as I wake up, which is typically at 5 AM. Kroger used to only let you schedule three days in advance, but now they will let you schedule seven days in advance. It is now hard to schedule any pickup time, SO DO IT WELL IN ADVANCE!

So before the world went crazy I used curbside pickup a ton. I tried to modify a Kroger order and it started a completely new order with my modifications. Fine. Whatever. Now I can't modify either order. One tells me there's an issue with my payment and to contact my provider (I did - card is fine). Other tells me "there's been a error". I called Kroger. After a 45 min wait the rep told me there are random error messages but they aren't allowing any modifications anymore to orders. For an order that's a week out! Are other people running into this?

I have discovered that I need to schedule a Kroger pickup as soon as I wake up, which is typically at 5 AM. Kroger used to only let you schedule three days in advance, but now they will let you schedule seven days in advance. It is now hard to schedule any pickup time, SO DO IT WELL IN ADVANCE!

Your order will finalize at time of pick up and so are the coupons. Prices and coupons good at time of placing the order are irrelevant unfortunately. You will only get discounts and prices valid the day of pick up.

I don't like using their pick up. They replace items with other items that I don't have coupons for or don't give me the amount I need to use the coupon etc. It was to much of a hassle so I just go inside and get what I need and leave.

The advice about modifying is incorrect. I have been using the clicklist since it began and in the past you could do that up to midnight the day before your pickup but 2 weeks my order reserved for 3-23-20 and I modified my before cut off and then it kicked my out to 3-25-20. I was upset and went in and talked with managers and they were sorry but due to the order modifying you lose your spot because they are so over whelmed with orders. This was at the Springfield, TN. store. Leisa epps

I have ordered a sale item not listed before by adding a similar item to the list and adding notes. For example, adding a ham shank to your cart. Then in the notes say that you dont want the ham shank and that u actually want the spiral ham from this weeks ad. If they mess it up or dont understand, when they come to your vehicle, explain it to them and they can go back in and get it. Just make sure you talk to them when they come out to verify that tou actually got the correct product!

Nrat - this is not correct. At my store (and I work in clicklist), If it isn't available on line, we will not add it for you when you pull up to pick up your groceries. The other thing is (again, at my store) if you pick a ham shank, you will get a ham shank. We will not automatically give you the special item you "really" want from the notes section. maybe small, low volume store can do this.. but I assure you, high volume stores cannot accommodate. Your best best is to call and speak to someone in clicklist. Ask if they can add it to your order.

I dislike the fact that I place my order, and it's not until 5 days away and I can't modify. Still placed the order and started another one with items I forgot. It's all good, gets me out of the house, yes I'm staying in the car, my immune system is compromised. Will take a minute or two to sterilize everything when I bring it home. BTW I too did not see a tip.

I work at kroger, actually doing Pickup. You do not get the sale price after the date has passed. Final charged price is based on pickup date, not on order date.

Have you tried Kroger ClickList yet?

ClickList is a phenomenal service Kroger offers where you order your groceries online, choose a pickup time and pick them up at the store…without having to leave your car! I’m already hooked!

It’s so easy! Just go HERE and register or login to your Kroger.com account. Then, simply browse for the items you want to purchase and add them to your cart. During the ordering process, you’ll be asked to select a pickup time and location. At your scheduled time, pull up at the Online Ordering drive-through (there will be signs to help guide you). A friendly Associate will assist you and load your groceries right into your car. And off you go!

Here are some answers to frequently asked questions.

Can I use Kroger Pickup on my mobile device?

Yes. You can access the Kroger Pickup service on your mobile device. However, Kroger Pickup is not yet available on the Mobile App.

What are “Favorites”?

This feature tracks your most commonly purchased items. You can browse through your Favorites and add them to your cart for quicker, more convenient shopping. Your Favorites may change slightly from week to week based on the items you purchase.

What are the fees for using Kroger Pickup?

The service fee is waived for your first 3 orders! Fees vary by region for Pickup. You can find more information online at checkout, or visit your local store for details. Trust me, you will definitely save this much (or more!) by not stepping foot into the store and succumbing to those impulse purchases!

Do I earn fuel points when I use Kroger Pickup?

Yes! Kroger Pickup orders count toward your fuel points just like in-store purchases.

When can I get my order?

When you place your order, you will be asked to select a 1-hour window (between 8 am – 9 pm, 7 days a week) to pick up your order. You can reserve a timeslot up to three days in advance.

What items are included in the Kroger Pickup service?

Kroger Pickup includes no minimum or maximum orders.  There are over 40,000 items to choose from, including over-the-counter health and beauty products, produce, refrigerated and frozen items, meat, seafood, wine and beer. Some seasonal items, apparel, hot foods, liquor and pharmacy prescriptions are excluded.

Can I include special instructions with my order?

Yes! You can include instructions like how ripe you’d like your bananas or avocados, the specific weight of your bag of cherries, how thin you’d like your deli meat sliced, etc.

How do the products stay fresh until I pick them up?

Perishable items like meat and produce are selected by Associates shortly before your order is scheduled for pickup. Your items will be stored for maximum freshness, including refrigeration for items that require it.

What do I do when I arrive at my pickup location?

When you arrive at your store, follow the signs to the Kroger Pickup area and call the number on the sign to let them know you’ve arrived. An Associate will bring your order out to your vehicle. The Kroger employee will load your groceries, and you’ll be on your way in minutes!

For the safety of our Customers and Associates, Pickup orders accept credit or debit cards only. Cash, check, and gift cards cannot be accepted. We’re currently unable to accept government benefits (including WIC and SNAP) as payment.

When you place your order, you’ll see an estimated total at checkout. Your card will be charged for a final total amount when you receive your order. Prices shown when you place your order may differ at the time you receive your order due to coupons, substitutions, taxes (if applicable) and weighted items.

Please have ready the form of payment you used online, as well as a backup credit or debit card.

Why are prices estimated versus actual?

Online prices reflect the price in-store on the day you place your order. However, prices may change between the time you place your order and the time you pick up your order at the store and pay for it. For example, if you place your order on a Tuesday but pick it up on Wednesday, keep in mind that most Kroger sale cycles begin on Wednesday so things may go on or off sale at the time of payment. The exact price of each item will be printed on your receipt.

What if an item in my order is out of stock in the store?

While Kroger strives to keep all items in stock, an item you’ve selected may occasionally be unavailable. Their Pickup Associates are trained to make proper substitutions for out of stock items, so your order will always have the items you need, as close to your original order as possible.

When you place your order online, you can indicate whether you’d like to allow substitutions. If a substitution is necessary, they will follow the steps below to fill your order as best they can. Here’s how it works:

  • First, if the same type of out-of-stock item is available in a larger quantity, your order will be upgraded to the larger item.
  • If a larger quantity is not available, but the same brand and item is available in a different package (for example, boxed sugar instead of bagged sugar), that item will be substituted.
  • If the same brand is not available, the same type of item from a different brand may be substituted.
  • Any special dietary items (gluten-free, sugar-free, lactose-free, vegan) will always be substituted with items that meet the same dietary requirements.

How do I redeem coupons?

Digital coupons loaded to your Shopper’s Card will automatically be applied to your order at pickup, and discounted from your total.

For Pickup orders, paper coupons can’t be used while checking out online. While Kroger is happy to accept paper coupons at time of pickup, please note that this will increase your pickup time. We encourage Customers to use digital coupons whenever possible to ensure that your Pickup experience is as quick as possible.

Do Catalinas Print with Kroger Pickup?

No. There is no Catalina machine for this department. If you are expecting a Catalina to print, you must use the regular registers in store.

Can I cancel my Kroger Pickup Order?

If you’d like to cancel a pending order, visit “My Purchases“. Select the order you’d like to cancel and choose Cancel.

If you experience any issues cancelling your order, please contact Customer Service at 1-800-576-4377, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to Midnight ET, and Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 am to 9:30 pm ET.
